Military Support

Military Hydrology

CHL is active in assisting the military with applications which affect mobility and water supply. These incluce: remote sensing and quantification of precipitation; spatially varying precipitation hydrology models; visualization of results in dam break models; water Location in arid and semi-arid regions; and GIS interfacing with existing and new hydrology models.

Coastal Military Programs

The Coastal Military Program (CMP) at CHL consists of R&D efforts related to:

- Conventional Logistics Over The Shore (LOTS) Operations
- Development of the Rapidly Installed Breakwater System
- Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation
(RDT & E) programs

Each of these efforts is geared towards improving military sealift capabilities, particularly as relates to force projection and sustainment requirements in connection with the transformation to the Objective Force.
